B-Trust eID by BORICA AD Receives European Recognition with High Level of Assurance

The B-Trust eID electronic identification scheme, operated by BORICA AD, has successfully passed a peer review within the framework of the eIDAS Cooperation Network. Experts from EU member states confirmed that the scheme complies with the requirements of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS).

·         Rating: B-Trust eID received a High assurance level (High) – the highest level defined under eIDAS.

·         Significance: This ensures a high level of trust, comparable to leading European electronic identification schemes.

·         Next steps: The scheme will be published in the Official Journal of the EU and included in the European list of notified eID schemes, ensuring cross-border recognition and interoperability with equivalent solutions in other member states.

The peer review is a mechanism for mutual assessment, in which independent experts verify that national eID schemes meet high standards of security, reliability, and technological resilience. The successful completion of the review confirms that B-Trust eID meets these stringent European standards.

This achievement prepares BORICA AD for its next technological innovation – the European Digital Identity Wallet, which will be built only on schemes with a high level of assurance.
