On June 23, 2.5 million children from 135 countries worldwide celebrate the birthday of SOS Children's Villages.
Their story began 69 years ago in Austria. After World War II, millions of children remained orphans, alone, without any help from anywhere...Then a man with a big heart, Hermann Gmeiner, wished these children to have someone, willing to love and protect them again ... As a result the first SOS village, consisting of several houses, appeared...
The story continues today, in Bulgaria …
In June, Bulgarian children also celebrate the birthday of the organization. And what is a birthday party without presents... for that reason BORICA’s employees decided to give joy to the children from Tryavna, Pernik and Breznik by giving them the dream presents.
We asked every child to make a “hand” (the symbol of the organization) and to write their wish on it. Each of our employees chose a "hand" and hurried to buy the presents with great love and excitement. Beautifully wrapped, we sent them to the children...
We believe that this little gesture will make the children smile and will be another occasion for their festive mood …
